Regolamento e calendario del Memorial Vittorio Pino

Saranno momenti di grande softball al diamante Peppino Colombo di Legnano dal 18 al 21 luglio, quando andrà in scena la 2a edizione Memorial Vittorio Pino, torneo internazionale di softball dedicato alla memoria dello storico Presidente della società biancorossa ed un evento fortemente voluto – e replicato – dalla nuova società che proprio da Vittorio ha preso in mano le redini di una storica realtà nazionale come quella di Legnano. Il torneo è organizzato in collaborazione con la Dream Team Sports Tours, sponsor del club legnanese.

Dopo l’ottimo successo della scorsa edizione quest’anno saranno sei le formazioni che prenderanno parte alla competizione amichevole: Legnano/Milano, Nazionale Italiana U16, Caronno, Dream Team e due selezioni di college statunitensi (USA Stars e USA Stripes del gruppo AIST). Una di queste prenderà lo scettro di Nuoro, vincitrice della prima edizione.

Il torneo si svolgerà secondo un classico girone all’italiana (ogni squadra affronta tutte le altre cinque in un unico raggruppamento) e da queste cinque sfide si delineeranno le tre finali (5°/6° posto, 3°/4° posto e 1°/2° posto) che avranno luogo tutte nella giornata di domenica 21.

Dedicato alle giocatrici U19, ogni squadra avrà un massimo di tre fuoriquota da poter utilizzare in campo, ad eccezione del ruolo di lanciatrice.

La sfida inaugurale andrà in scena giovedì 18 alle ore 19 tra Legnano/Milano e Caronno, mentre nella giornata di venerdì alle ore 20:30 si terrà la Cerimonia d’Apertura, con la presenza di importanti nomi del panorama del softball nazionale ed internazionale.

It’ll be a good time for softball at Peppino Colombo field in Legnano (MI) from 18th to 21st July with the 2nd edition of International Tournament Memorial Vittorio Pino, dedicated to the former and well-known president of Legnano Baseball Softball, who passed away last January. The event, organized with partnership of the sponsor Dream Team Sports Tour, has been strongly desired by the Legnano management now in charge.

After the success of last year, there will be 6 teams in the friendly competition: Legnano/Milano, U16 Italian National Team, Caronno, Dream Team and two American college selections (AIST USA Stars and AIST USA Stripes). Nuoro won the previous edition in 2018.

Each team will face all the others once, and after these five matches the standing will determinate which final (5th/6th place, 3rd/4th place, 1st/2nd place) a team will play on Sunday 21st.

Only U19 players can play in the tournament, with three exceptions permitted simultaneously on the field, except for the pitcher spot.

The first game will take place Thursday 18th at 7 p.m. between Legnano/Milano and Caronno, while the Opening Ceremony is scheduled for Friday 19th at 8.30 p.m. with the attendance of a lot of important names of the National and International softball scene.
